You can learn to surf with per- mitted, professional, local surf schools: Club Ed, Richard Schmidt Surf School, and Surf School Santa Cruz. This overnight backpacking camp will provide families and individuals the chance to learn the basics of backpacking in a safe and nurturing environ- ment. Learn to Surf Learn to Backpack Tap into your creative side with Art Studio 95003 (pg. 30),which offers young artists ages 6-12 a morning of drawing, painting, and other artsy exploration. Hear 2019 Artist of the Year Ellen Bass read her poetry and talk about how she makes her poems in a FREE Profile Per- formance on May 11. See page 24 for details.
