Summer 2019 Recreation Guide 26 ZUMBA GOLD Instructor: Anna Tu, Certified Zumba Gold Instructor Exhilarating dance-fitness program designed for the older active adult. Easy-to-follow choreography that focuses on functional movement, balance, range of motion and coordination while providing cardio and full body toning. Enjoy a variety of dance styles and music (both oldies and current), while building a stronger body that leaves you feeling good. Cool down with stretches and qigong exercises after dancing up a sweat. No class on 5/27 and 7/4. MON 10:45-12:00PM On-going $5R/$6NR AEROBICS/AEROBICO Instructor: Lilli Inman, Certified Fitness Instructor This non-dance cardiovascular workout includes strengthening and balance work, as well as overall stretching. Class is taught to upbeat music, yet there are no tricky steps to follow! You will learn effective exercises that are fun and make it easy to enjoy exercise! WED 9:00-9:45AM On-going $5R/$6NR SIT AND FIT SENTARSE EN FORMA Coordinators: Els Heventhal and Gay Kirichenko This class includes very gentle stretching, balance work, specific muscle toning, and range of motion exercises, all of which are done primarily seated. Participants may stand if so desired. Optional light weights for upper body strengthening are available. Tai Chi is proven to positively impact the health of the heart, nerves and muscles, and the mind.
