Three components of the Puente Program work together to prepare Puente students for transfer: • Counseling • English Instruction • Mentoring The Puente Program makes coursework more lively and rele- vant for students through readings about the Chicano/Latino/ Latinx experience. Puente students also receive academic, career, and personal counseling and advising and are con- nected to professional mentors as well as unique opportunities to engage in cultural events as well as explore Bay Area four-year university campuses.
