The mission of FUHSD Adult school is to Prepare students to achieve educational, career and personal goals. To this end, all of our students will achieve the following School-wide learning outcomes: 1. Demonstrate an increased ability to communicate in both collaborative and independent settings. 2. Participate in opportunities to become active and responsible members of our diverse community. 3. Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving. 4. Demonstrate effective self-management and interpersonal skills. Set and pursue goals. 5. Use resources and technology. School Policies Admission and Eligibility Classes are open to all students regardless of residency or citizenship. In all programs students must be 18 years of age or older with two program exceptions: students must be 50 years of age or older in the Active Adult classes held at the senior centers; students may register for community interest classes at age 16. Student Conduct The Board of Trustees believe that all students have the right to be educated in a positive learning environment free from disruptions. On school grounds and at school activities, students shall be expected to exhibit appropriate conduct that does not infringe upon the rights of others or interfere with the adult school programs. Appropriate behavior includes being studious, engaged in class activities, careful with school property, and respectful towards teachers, other staff, students, and volunteers. Cancellations Classes may be canceled when the minimum enrollment is not met. If a class is canceled, students are notified by phone or email and given the following options, as available: transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
