Parks & Recreation Department 707-838-1260 7 KINDER KICKZ SOCCER (co-ed)/ FUTBOL Instructor: Renee Ziemer Ages: 3-6 years Place: Huerta Gymnasium Each class is 60 minutes long, which combines 10 minutes of free play (open to family and friends) followed by 50 minutes of structured activities to help teach basic soccer skills (passing, kicking, dribbling, juggling, scoring, basic scrimmage play), along with motor skills (balance, coordination, running control) and social skills (listening, building confidence, teamwork, sharing, sportsmanship). Each week the class will be introduced to new activities, which challenge them in a non-competitive and positive learning environment. Kinder Kickz Soccer uses fun props to keep the class engaged and have them excited to return the following week. Players will learn and practice baseball fundamentals each week with a variety of drills and games. This class is a good introduction for first timers as well as returning players. Participants will receive a ball and a certificate. Participants will get the opportunity to become comfortable hitting off the machine before the spring season begins. Baseball fundamentals and fun will be the focus of this class each week. Each day will include a short warm up followed by an instructional game in a scrimmage format.
