FENCING CALIFORNIA FENCING ACADEMY Intro to Fencing 7-13 yrs. Learn the basic positions, footwork, terminology, safety, rules, etiquette, and sportsmanship of Olympic fencing. In partnered drills you will learn to thrust, disengage, do feint attacks, actions on the blade, and various parries and ripostes. Classes cover safety, warm-up stretching, footwork (advance, retreat, lunge, advance-lunge), lines of attack, lines of defense, beat attacks, disengage, bouting rules and skills, and refereeing bouts. Learn the fundamentals of badminton techniques, footwork, and strategy in this introduction to the sport. Players will develop hand-eye coordination, catching and throwing skills, footwork and movement, all while having fun! Scoring, rules of the game and the serve will also be covered. Futsal is a fun, fast-paced soccer game played indoors within the lines of the basketball court (no walls), using a small, size 3 low-bounce ball.
