GYMNASTICS RISING STARS OPEN GYM: Walking – 6 yrs. This is a non-instructional play activity for children walking through Pre-K. Your children will work out those wiggles, bounce and balance, and jump for joy as they freely play and explore our gymnastics room. Enjoy a morning of fun! Parents/Guardians are required to stay and participate with their children. Drop In Fee: $7/class. GYM KIDS 4-5 yrs. Develop skills in coordination, motor development, eye/hand coordination and gymnastics. We’ll learn skills utilizing the floor mats, vault, beam, bars and mini- trampoline. Fun routines and dances will be taught with ribbons, hula hoops, balls and parachute. GYM STARS 5-6 yrs. Continuing students from Gym Kids and/or just beginning in gymnastics. Emphasis will be on proper form and learning skills from floor, vault, beam, bars and mini-trampoline. Be a star and shine while you learn gymnastics. RISING STARS 6-10 yrs. Become a wiggle worm and you’ll develop skills in coordination, motor development, eye/hand coordination, sports skills and self-esteem. We’ll use ribbons, hula-hoops, balls, beanbags and parachute to keep our worms wiggling! BEGINNING I & II 6-17 yrs. We will progress with more difficult gymnastic skills and refine those already learned. The floor, vault, beam, bars and mini-trampoline will be used in this class. Come join the fun! Your favorite P.E. game is now a club! It is more than just a game. Kids learn throwing, catching techniques and of course, they learn how to duck, dive, dip, chuck and dodge a ball. They will participate in a variety of skills challenges, competition and games that will lead to a dodgeball tournament at the end of the session. NO CLASS: 4/11. Field Hockey Skills & Scrimmages This program combines skill development with scrimmage type games in the sport of field hockey. Held on the Fisher fields, we will have up to 3 games simultaneously played during the specified time. The goals of this class are to improve technical skills, learn to apply those skills to game simulation and ultimately have a positive, meaningful experience. NO CLASS: 4/7, 4/9. You will receive instruction in skills, etiquette and some rules. The Beginner Junior Golf is for beginning & novice young golfers, this class will get you started on or help you to improve the basic skills of putting, chipping, full swing, rules, & etiquette. This class prepares you for the next level, Intermediate Junior Golf.
