For some, it may be physical, keeping the body toned, strong and flexible. For others, it may be more of a mindset and a way of living. Whatever your reason, you will benefit from this beginner yoga class. We will be practicing gentle to more athletic poses and you will gain flexibility and strength in your everyday living. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow or any other items which you may already have; we will be discussing other options in class. Bring a water bottle. Yoga for Complete Beginners 14.1043.31, 14.1043.41 Yoga for Complete Beginners. The hardest part simply can be to begin. This total beginners class will help you feel comfortable on the mat and give you an idea of what the physical practice of yoga is all about. Class will be conducted at a leisurely pace. The class hour is divided into floor work and standing work. Bring a yoga mat, pillow and water. Yoga is a powerful tool for relieving stress and bringing peace and calmness to your life. Yoga helps to strengthen your body and increase your vitality. Experience greater flexibility and balance. Wear loose-fitting clothes and bring a yoga mat and blanket. Yoga Fun for Parent & Child (3-10 yrs). 73.1001.31, 73.1001.41 Children in this class will learn basic concepts of Yoga including seating postures, entry level poses, sun salutation and beginning level meditation. Parent and child participate together. One fee for both participants. Born & raised in Hong Kong, Amy Chan studied in Canada and USA and completed her MBA in Finance at Boston University. She relocated to California in 1999 and discovered her passion in dance. She got certified to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba toning and U-Jam fitness and have been teaching fitness routine for over 2 years to athletic kids, teenagers and adults as well as active seniors. During her spare time she enjoys traveling, eating and spending time with her twins.
