Spring 2020 www.fuhsdadultschool.com 41 Missed Classes We do not offer make-up classes or credits when individual customers miss a class for natural disasters, illness, travel, or personal reasons. In the rare instance when a teacher needs to miss a class, our staff will find a substitute or notify you via phone or email that class is canceled. Refunds Refund requests must be received seven days before the first class meeting unless otherwise stated. A $20 processing fee per transaction applies to all refunds. Special programs, for which refunds do not apply, include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), and Bright Beginnings Preschool class Levels 3 – 10B. Refunds may be requested by phone or in person during regular business hours. For refunds at Bright Beginnings call (408) 522-2707; for all other classes call (408) 522-2700. Refunds will be issued in the form of a check or credit back to the credit card used for the original transaction. Cash and checks will be refunded by check, which may take up to 4 weeks to process. Photography FUHSD Adult School reserves the right to photograph classes and program participants for promotional purposes. Photographs may be used in the catalog, on the website, or on materials distributed to the community. For more information call 408-739-8963 or visit their website www.cupertinocoop.org SCHOOL POLICIES & GENERAL INFO Fusako Hoyrup Fusako Hoyrup has studied the art of ikebana for more than 60 years and has taught Wafu Ikebana in the FUHSD Adult School for more than 44 years, pioneering the first ikebana class in 1975. Her program today includes multiple classes that welcome students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. She holds the highest degree possible in the Wafu School of Ikebana and has received numerous commendations and awards in recognition of her teaching, contributions, and expertise. Most recently, in May of this year, the Government and Emperor of Japan awarded her the highly prestigious Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, for her contributions to the promulgation and growth of Japanese culture in the United States and abroad through ikebana for 50 years.
