A variety of techniques will be demonstrated in each class, as well as guidelines on color mixing, composition and perspective. Required materials list is on website. Painting with Oil and Acrylic 11.1081.31, 11.1081.41 This class is not only for the beginner to learn the basics, but also for the more advanced students wanting to improve. We will talk about painting composition and techniques, which will include: the rule of thirds, contrast, light, color saturation, contrasting colors, and how to choose focal points. Subject matter will include landscape, animals, flowers, and people. The instructor will provide personal feedback for your individual project. Painting with Oil, All Levels 11.1180.31, 11.1180.41 Come join us for an exciting class of creative and beautiful oil paintings. You will learn color mixing, color values, composition and different brush strokes. Each class will include an instructor’s demo; one on one guidance is given for individual instruction. All levels are welcome. Beginning students must buy their own paints, canvas and other supplies. Materials list for this class can be found on our website. Fundamentals of Drawing 11.1060.31, 11.1060.41 Drawing is one of the basic and the most valuable skills to begin your pursuit in art. Learn the secrets of basic geometrical and organic forms, perspective, design composition. Students will be introduced to a variety of drawing techniques and styles. Enjoy using this wonderful and flexible medium to create a unique art work. Materials: 9 x 12” drawing pad, 2 B, 3 B graphite pencils, charcoal pencil, plastic and kneaded erasers. Once you decide what is most interesting to your artistic abilities, students work on their choice of subject matter. Bring a 2B and a 4B pencil to the first class, along with a drawing tablet. We will cover other materials in class. Winter Creative Drawing and PaintingClass 11.1010.31 Come join us for a chance to try out a variety of painting and drawing media. This class is designed for the absolute beginner as well as those who have some watercolor experience. You’ll learn about watercolor tools, materials, techniques (including the fun tricks), color mixing, composition, and lots of other useful tidbits of info. Each class will include an instructional demo, one on one guidance and plenty of time to apply and practice what you’ve learned. Chinese Brush Painting 11.1050.31, 11.1050.41 Chinese brush painting with emphasis on individual instruction for all students. A traditional approach to Chinese brush painting using bamboo, flowers, birds, trees and landscapes as some of the subjects.
