Code for Fun Camps 6-15 yrs. Instructor: Code for Fun Staff WEB DESIGN – Welcome to the magical world of <HTML>, where students will create interactive webpages, link to other sites, add images, and collect information from visitors using JavaScript programming. JUNIOR PROGRAMMERS – Begin your coding journey using Scratch Jr. in this introductory sequence of projects! Students learn a variety of practices and concepts using blocks and tools which align with algorithms and programming standards developed by the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA). GIRLS #CREATE WITH CODE – This unique camp is designed to empower girls to code! Explore entrepreneurship while learning computer science concepts and coding using Scratch. Collaborate on creating fun projects including art, storytelling and games while learning computational and problem solving skills. CODE SPHERO® WITH SWIFT – Learn Swift, a text-based programming language, to design fun games with Sphero Robot. Grow from beginners to proficient game designers recreating popular classic games as Pong, Bop It and Pac-man, as well as inventing Bowling and Golf Course games. INTRO TO PYTHON WITH MINECRAFT – Students will learn short and simple tricks with Python programming language and customize Minecraft products. Make mini-games, duplicate entire buildings, and turn blocks into gold. With the power of Python, get in ‘Mine-ute’ tons of ‘Craft-y’ awesome results! CODE YOUR DRONES WITH SWIFT – Explore drones hardware, learn safety procedures and experiment with flight modes. Use Swift, a text-based programming language, to pilot drones, create fun games and build your own drone humanitarian missions. CODING WITH ROBOTS – Students will use a series of fun robots (Dash and Dots, Lego ® WeDo and Beebots) to navigate through challenging mazes. They will also complete coding puzzles on the tablet and work in teams to compete with fun games. #GAMEMAKER: PROGRAMMING WITH SCRATCH – Use your magical programming power to create games that you can share with your friends! Students will be introduced to Scratch programming and build several games: multi-player, artistic creations, and multi-level games.
