HULA DANCE Hula – Mom/Dad & Me 3.5-6 yrs. Parents will help teach their child how to dance the HULA and sing a HULA SONG! Children will also learn some Hawaiian culture and language while developing social and motor skills and hand-eye coordination! This is a very popular class for parents looking for a fun learning experience and some quality bonding time! Materials fee: $45-$55 for New students. NO CLASS: 7/4. In this class, children will learn the basics of hula while also learning about Polynesian culture, history and language. The classes are great social outlets while helping to increase their motor skills, coordination, memory and confidence. Hula also helps to develop grace and better body awareness all while having fun! The class will learn 1 – 2 songs in a session. Materials fee: $20-$35 for NEW students. NO CLASS: 7/4. BALLET BUDDING BALLERINAS : This is an introduction to the beauty of dance designed to develop grace and coordination in the budding ballerina and the little Baryshnikov. Exploring creative expression and body awareness through the magical world of dance. Increasing self esteem and confidence. Ballet shoes recommended. PRESCHOOL BALLET: Participants will learn ballet techniques as well as rhythm and music appreciation in a fun and playful way. Children should wear leotard, tights, ballet slippers. BALLET: Movement, grace and fun are the tone of this class. Children will develop grace, self confidence, and an appreciation of the art. ** BALLET/POINTE: Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Participants will enjoy an hour of classical ballet technique both at the barre and center floor work. Dancers should wear leotard, tights and ballet shoes. ** POINTE: Pointe technique class for barre and center. Must have approval from Miss Terry before enrolling. Instructor: Yang Yang Lyon YANG YANG LITTLE CHINESE DANCE: A fun programming for beginners to start learning Chinese ballet. Students will focus on body positioning, flexibility, musical rhythm, tumbling, and more. YANG YANG CHINESE DANCE: Yang Yang offers a variety of instruction that includes traditional Chinese folk and classical ballet, tumbling, and modern dance. Fri. 3:45PM – 7:30PM 6 mtgs. 8/7 – 9/11 $270 DANCE FORCE KIDS On the last day of the session, all dancers will perform in class for Hip Hop & Tumbling, Little Dancer Combo & Musical Theater Dance. Instructor: Dance Force Kids Staff HIP HOP & TUMBLING: Explore both hip hop & tumbling! Children will learn basic hip hop dance moves to fun kid’s music while building confidence, coordination, and rhythm. In tumbling, they will have fun doing log rolls, bridges, bear walks, balancing, stretching, and jumps. LITTLE DANCER COMBO: This is a great beginner class to introduce your child to ballet, creative movement, hip hop, jazz, and tap. They will learn individual steps, across the floor movement, and combinations. Your child will use props while dancing to fun music. NEW MUSICAL THEATER DANCE: Come be a star in this fun dance class! Musical Theater is a theatrical dance style that includes dance technique and acting to songs from Broadway and musicals. A fun, upbeat class for beginning dancers.
