SYSP (Summer Youth Sports Program) 510.723.7676 UMOJA PROGRAM The Umoja Community Program, is a statewide program that has helped thousands of educationally disadvantaged students graduate and/or transfer to four year colleges and universities. This program addresses students’ needs through academic support services and curriculum focused on African American history, literature, and culture. Umoja currently offers COMM 1, ENGL 1 and 4, HLTH 1, HIS 63, PSCN 4, PSCN 23, THTR 10. It is designed for students who want to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The program is open to all students who meet the qualifications for enrollment.
