The Health Services Fee of $18 for the Summer session and $21 for the Fall/Spring semester are mandatory. Additionally, International students will be assessed tuition of $290 per unit. Chabot College is also a proud participant of the Principles of Excellence Program. VETERANS SERVICES USING YOUR EDUCATION BENEFIT Veterans and dependents wishing to use their education benefit provided through the Department of Veterans Affairs must first apply for admission to Chabot College. Basic categories of education benefits include: Post 9/11 GI Bill ® , Montgomery GI Bill ® (Active Duty/Selected Reserve), Vocational Rehabilitation, and Dependent Education Assistance. After applying for admission, follow the Enrollment Certification procedures outlined below: 1. Apply for VA Education Benefits online at www.vets.gov . and provide us with a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) upon receipt. 2. Complete the Chabot College online orientation at www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/orientation.php . 3. Submit a copy of your DD-214 to the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) to establish priority registration eligibility. 4. Submit all official, sealed college and military transcripts along with a completed Incoming Transcript/AP Test Evaluation form available at www.chabotcollege.edu/admissions/forms.php to the Admissions & Records Office. 5. If applicable, complete Assessment/Placement. See page 10 for more information. 6. Complete your student educational plan with a counselor, and then provide a copy to the VRC. 7. Register for classes online via CLASS-Web. 8. Complete the Enrollment Certification Request form at the VRC. Per California SB 272 and SB 361, priority registration is provided to any member or former member of the Armed Forces of the United States who has received an honorable discharge, a general discharge, or an other than honorable discharge. In addition, per SB 1456, students must have completed assessment/placement, college orientation, and developed a student education plan to receive the highest level of priority. NOTE: Dependents of veterans do not qualify for military priority registration. Priority registration is not an automatic process. You must complete each Student Success and Support Prorgam (SSSP) core service (assessment, orientation, student education plan) and submit a copy of your DD-214 to the VRC (Building 2300, room 2353) or email to [email protected] . MILITARY PRIORITY REGISTRATION Chabot College provides opportunities for minor students to enroll in college-level, degree-applicable courses for advanced scholastic or advanced vocational purposes. CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY To be eligible to participate in the program, students must: 1.Have parental approval. 2.Limit enrollment to advanced scholastic courses. Enrollment in Physical Education or basic skills courses will not be allowed. (CA Ed. Code, section 48800) 3.Be pre-approved by the Principal and designee to pursue specific courses. (CA Ed. Code, sections 48800, 48800.5, & 48802) Students should begin the process for concurrent enrollment early. To enroll concurrently, follow these procedures: SPECIAL ADMISSION PROCEDURES 1.Complete the Chabot College admission application online at www.chabotcollege.edu . 2.Complete the  Recommendation for Concurrent Enrollment and  Release of Personal Information/Emergency forms available at www.chabotcollege.edu/admissions/concurrent.php and w AB2364 High School Non-Resident Exemption Request. 3.Submit your current High School transcript. Students attending home school should also submit a copy of their R4 Affidavits. (CA Ed Code, section 33190) 4.Submit all required forms in one packet by deadline date listed above . Packets may be submitted in-person at the Admissions & Records Office or by mail (Chabot College, ATTN: Concurrent Enrollment, Admissions & Records Office, 25555 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward, CA 94545). 5.Following receipt of your packet, you will be sent an email notifying you of your Concurrent Enrollment Program admission status . If approved, you will be assigned a registration date. • Concurrently enrolled students will be permitted to enroll in no more than six units or two classes per semester – whichever is met first. • Students will be treated as regular college students and are expected to comply with all college rules and regulations. • At the completion of the course, student receives college credit. • Students must arrange for their own transportation to and from the college and provide their own books and equipment.
