This mode allows students to self- accelerate through the material in a way that is unique to each student’s needs. Students will learn study skills and tips along with the math while working on their lab assignments. Students will decide when they are ready to take a test and take the length of time they need when testing (within the hours of operation). Students registering for a Math Emporium course are required to purchase and use the internet based soft-ware MyMathLab, which contains an online version of the textbook. MATH 40 STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY 4.0 Units Descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency, dispersion and position; elements of probability; confidence intervals; hypothesis tests; two-population comparisons; correlation and regression; goodness of fit; analysis of variance; applications in various fields. Introduction to the use of a computer software package to complete both descriptive and inferential statistics problems.
