HORSEBACK RIDING Chaparral Ranch Instructor: Chaparal Ranch Staff LITTLE RANCHERS: Through hands on interaction participants will learn about horses and ponies, expand vocabulary, improve social skills and reinforce the importance of caring, patience and taking turns. Class includes pony ride with parent in tow. Parent participation is required. LITTLE RIDERS: Through hands on interaction participants will learn about horses and ponies, expand vocabulary, improve social skills and reinforce the importance of caring, patience and taking turns. SADDLE CLUB: A basic learning and riding class, students will learn how to groom, saddle, tie, and other basic horse skills in the first portion of class. The remainder will be riding time. HORSEBACK RIDING LESSONS: Students will learn safety, dismounting, steering, stopping, balance, posting trot and sitting trot in these western riding lessons. Theses lessons are perfect for beginner to intermediate riders. TRAIL RIDES: Your adventure will wind through redwood forests and tree covered hills. This ride is for any ability. Baby Tumblers learn self- awareness and physical adaptation through developmentally appropriate gymnastics activities such as stepping, rolling, balancing, sliding and swinging. We teach rhythm and sequencing through physical activities coordinated with music and prompts. TUFF TUMBLERS: Child-parent participation class for walking to 3 year. In this class, your child will learn follow the leader, color recognition, and taking turns. Additionally, children will move through obstacle courses and learn some gymnastics positions. DYNA MITES: Our primary objectives for this class are following the teacher’s instructions, taking turns, and playing well with others within the gymnastics setting. Children will enjoy a variety of moves in this course including forward rolls, inverted handstands, backwards roll down wedge, beginner cartwheel, as well as some balance beam and bar techniques. NINJA ZONE: A blend of gymnastics, parkour, and martial arts, children will learn a combination of flips, rolls, jumps, and kicks. Children learn these skills at their own pace. Strength and agility are tested through obstacle courses and various training techniques. A ninja uniform is required. AERIALS ARTS: This unique course includes basic to advanced movements and will enhance strength, flexibility, and elegance. Students will develop a new ability that they never could have imagined.
