On your tour, you’ll visit the research collections— not on view to the public—and develop an appreciation for our vast library of life, which includes amazing specimens from our ichthyology (fish), entomology (insects), and ornithology (birds) departments. Enjoy a reserved lunch at Terrace restaurant for a plated meal. Activity Level 3: Maximum Level Wed. 8:30AM – 4:30PM 1 mtg. 11/18 $105 San Francisco Crime Tour, Led by Gary Holloway San Francisco has been infamous for all manner of crimes since the Gold Rush in the mid-1800’s. On this tour, led by Gary Holloway, we will visit the scenes of many of the most notorious, commencing with the Zodiac and Zebra killings. Along the way we’ll find the original People’s Temple of Jim Jones, as well as the Chinatown restaurant where a massacre occurred. The Golden Gate Bridge, City Hall assassinations, and murderous waterfront protests will also be covered. Come along with us to discover a different aspect of everyone’s favorite City. Enjoy a hosted lunch at the legendary John’s Grill, home of the Maltese Falcon, and a favorite haunt of famed mystery writer Dashiell Hammet.
