Star Wars Animation Studio Bring Star Wars to life and more by creating an amazing movie with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own Star Wars LEGO® movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! STEAM Robot Games Do you think you can build the strongest and most agile robot to win a head-to-head combat mission? Students will learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using LEGO® bricks, motors, and remotes. Kids will battle their bots in friendly competitions and learn how to maneuver their bot perfectly. Students will have a blast playing robot football, having robot races, taking part in obstacle courses, and completing the hoop challenge in this fun robotics class. STEM Challenge If your learner enjoys taking on engineering and design challenges using tons of LEGO bricks, working with a team to complete timed tasks, and brainstorming ways to solve unique problems, this is the perfect class! Students will be working on different challenges like building the strongest bridge, earthquake challenge, and many more and in order to succeed, they will have to think outside of the box! Students will get the support they need to be successful in each task in order to get the most out of this unique, challenging camp experience! STEM Scientists Allow your child to cultivate their love of science and experience different domains of science & nature. Students will engage in concepts from solar system to earth science to ecosystem to experiments and motions using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools. We make science fun at Snapology! Supplies Included. STEM Survivor Are you ready for a challenge? Snapology’s S.T.E.M. Survivor program will put your student’s design, building, and critical thinking skills to the test! They will be given daily challenges for which they must design functional solutions with their teammate! They will earn Survivor Bucks when they perform well and be able to use those survivor bucks to purchase supplies or prizes throughout the camp. The goal of this program is to encourage our students to carefully work through the engineering design process to see how often they can design with a purpose. Summer Fun Math Summer Fun Math will teach number sense and operations, algebra, geometry and spatial sense, measurement, and functions and probability. This program serves as a reinforcement of key concepts and foundational skills that will help students find success in future algebraic programs. Super Star Island Running for Fitness Power Track program by National Academy of Athletics is packed with fun. Whether your child is a beginner or more advanced athlete, the drills taught at this camp will help them become a better athlete. This program is the perfect place to learn about speed, power, and fitness while having a blast and making new friends. Run, Shoot, Pass Lacrosse The Run, Shoot Pass Lacrosse program is packed with fun. The drills taught at this camp will help them fall in love with the game. Each day participants will practice and play a form of non- contact lacrosse. It is the perfect place to learn about the game and fitness while having a blast and making new friends. Photography Go beyond selfies! In this class students will learn the basic principles and fundamentals of photography. Children will have a blast exploring their creativity through a new lens! By the end of the course they will be able to take what catches their eye and turn it into a masterpiece! ** Students will need their own camera, smartphone or iPad to participate. PolyClay Wind Chimes Even more fun than that “dough” you used to play with! In this class, students will work with pliable, colorful polymer clay to create the cutest windchimes ever. Roll, blend color, and sculpt a variety of shapes like modern, abstract, pinwheels, leaves and even your own design! Pre-Algebra Crash Course We will provide opportunities to practice pre-algebraic concepts such as variables, formulas, and algebraic expressions as well as key concepts for algebraic success such as equations, fractions, decimals, percents, exponents, ratios and more. This program serves as a reinforcement of key concepts and foundational skills that will help students find success in future algebraic programs. Sloppy Science (Chemistry) In this series of classes, we will explore and learn about elements, molecules and atoms. Snap on some safety goggles and get ready for some sloppy science! Junior Mad Scientists will study split-second reactions and learn about glow-in-the- dark technology. We will have them glued to their seats as they explore adhesives, clingy materials and lots of other super sticky stuff! The students will definitely “bond” during this week of excitement. Space Science In this course, students will learn about earth as part of the solar system, laws of gravity, life outside the earth, fundamentals of our universe and it’s evolution in a creative and interactive format.
