THE CHABOT PROMISE No Enrollment Fees for 2021-2022 Requirements  The office must receive your FAFSA or Dream Act Application by July 1st, 2021 .  Must enroll in 12 or more units per semester , Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.  Must not have attended any other institution of higher education. Excludes concurrent students and immediate prior summer enrollment.  Must be a California resident or AB 540 student.  Must participate in the Student Success and Support Program before Fall 2021 classes begin, including:  Online Orientation  www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/orientation.php  Guided Self Placement for Math and Informed Course Selection for English www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/assessment/placement-incoming-freshmen.php  First Semester Planning Session offered through the Assessment Center www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/assessment  There is no income requirement.  There is no minimum high school GPA requirement.  Must successfully complete and pass their first semester with 12 units or more to receive the second semester. How Does It Work  Apply to Chabot College at www.chabotcollege.edu/admissions/apply.php  Meet all Chabot College Promise Program requirements (above)  Incoming students completing the previous steps will automatically be considered for the Chabot Promise, and will receive either: A) The College Promise Grant (based on income eligibility); OR, B) Chabot College Promise Program will pay for their enrollment fees/tuition (not campus based fees for health, activities or parking). What Does it Cover? The Chabot Promise will cover the $46 per unit enrollment/tuition fee at Chabot College only. Students are responsible for any books, supplies and materials fees that a class requires, as well as other non-tuition fees. Students may also receive additional financial aid by applying through the FAFSA or CA Dream Act Application, and submitting required documents posted in students’ ClassWeb under the Student Services/Financial Aid menu or via Zonemail. Chabot Promise students will also receive priority consideration for the large variety of Special Programs and Services.
