SWIM LESSONS Weekends (Saturdays) 9:30AM – 10:00AM 10:15AM– 10:45AM 11:00AM – 11:30AM Private Lessons: 3 yrs & Up Seahorse: 5-12 yrs. Dolphin: 6 yrs & Up All swim programs are held at the Los Gatos High School Community Aquatics Center and comply with Santa Clara County Health Department orders. Please review our social distancing protocol online at www.lgsrecreation.org/aquatics/. Classes not meeting minimum enrollments will be cancelled. Additional classes may be scheduled. If you miss a class we cannot issue refunds, credits or schedule make- up classes. ADA Accessibility: LGHS Community Aquatics Center has two WaterWheels® Floating Wheelchairs for safe water entry. Location: LGHS Community Aquatics Center GROUP LESSONS SESSION FEES: Saturdays Lessons: $90 PRIVATE LESSONS SESSION FEES: T/TH: $160, Sat: $160 Seahorse 5-12 YRS. Prerequisites: Starfish Skills. Children will learn/work on: Swimming front & back crawl, elementary backstroke for 15 yards, introduction to side breathing and breaststroke kick, tread water for 30 seconds, retrieve submerged objects from bottom of chest-deep water, jump and dive from a kneeling position into deep water, water safety topics/skills including looking before leaping and an introduction reaching assists among others. Instructor: LGS Aquatics Staff Dolphin 6 YRS. & UP Note: This class is only held in the 25 yard lanes in 7 feet of water. Prerequisites: Seahorse Skills. Children will work on: Swimming freestyle with rotary breathing, swim backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and sidestroke for 25 yards, treading water for 1 minute, introduction to dolphin kick, flip turns, and standing front dive. Private Lessons 6 YRS. & UP Ages: 6 years old- adults. Instruction is geared toward the individual student’s ability. Class held in a 15-yard shallow pool. (Depth 3 ft. 6 in.)
