Las Positas | Spring 2022 Class Schedule

6 Dear Students, We are excited and look forward to welcoming you back to campus for the spring semester! Las Positas College has worked diligently to develop a comprehensive Return to Campus Plan which follows all federal, state, and county public health orders with the goal of re-opening our campus by providing a healthy and safe learning environment for you. The Governing Board of the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District recently took action to establish a COVID-19 vaccination requirement. This policy applies to all LPC employees and students who plan to enroll in at least one in-person class or visit any campus facility during the spring 2022 semester. With the vaccination requirement, our Return to Campus Plan for the spring 2022 semester includes: • All college employees will fully return to campus • Approximately 60% of all classes will be offered in-person and 40% of all classes will be offered online • In-person classes will be scheduled at full capacity • Student support departments will provide, both, in person and online support services • Campus events & activities, theater/performing arts events, athletic/sporting events, field trips, and commencement will be offered in-person • Alameda County guidelines will inform our masking requirements We’ve learned a lot from the challenges of the pandemic, especially the importance of remaining flexible. We’ve maintained flexible options for you that allows you to take courses online or in-person and you will have the opportunity to access support services online or in-person as well. Regardless of how you choose to experience this spring semester, the college is well prepared to provide you with excellent instruction and high-quality support services. As we enact our plans to return to our campus, the college will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and update our plans as needed, and will communicate those plans to you accordingly. I want to acknowledge the profound impact this pandemic has had on all members of our campus community and recognize the disproportionate impact it has had on many communities.
