Chabot College • Spring 2023 Class Schedule 17 510.723.6600 • www.chabotcollege.edu/spring23 ENGLISH & MATH COURSE SELECTION REGISTER FOR MATH AND ENGLISH CLASSES Per the passage of Assembly Bill 705 by the California State Legislature, all students have the right to register for transfer-level English and math classes and are encouraged to do so in their first semester of college. To get started, log-on to your Class-Web account. Under the Student Services tab select: “English Course Selection” and “Math Course Selection.” See below or get assistance in the assessment center: www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/assessment 1. Log into CLASS-Web 2. Go to the Student Services tab 3. Unlock first-level transfer courses in English and Math. After completing the Math Course Selection, if you wish to enroll in pre-transfer level math courses, you must first complete the Pre-Transfer Math Courses Petition located right below the Math Course Selection. ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE CLASSES If you are an English learner and would like to enroll into our English as a Second Language (ESL) Program, please schedule your ESL assessment appointment at: www.chabotcollege.edu/counseling/assessment/placement-esl-students.php FIRST SEMESTER PLANNING SESSIONS All New, First Time in College students should attend a First Semester Planning Session (FSPS). These are group counseling sessions where you will meet with a counselor to select classes for your first semester. These sessions are currently being held virtually over Zoom. Important: If you have taken classes at another college, or are a continuing/returning Chabot student, do not attend a first semester planning session. Instead, schedule a counseling appointment or talk to a counselor on drop-in. FIRST SEMESTER PLANNING SESSION When scheduling your group session with a counselor to get your first semester student education plan, you will have three options. Choose the one that best lines up with your major interest.
