CalWORKs provides time limited cash assistance (including transportation and childcare costs). If eligible, you automatically qualify for Medi-Cal and may qualify for CalFRESH food benefits. This program helps you pay for education, find and keep a job, and it provides other services that will support your family, even after leaving the program.
