Pickleball has been described as a combination of tennis, badminton & ping pong. The game is easy to learn and tons of fun. Pickleball helps kids learn hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance, and provides social interaction in a team setting. Kids are having so much fun they do not realize the cardiovascular benefits they are receiving, which can improve mood and mental wellness. Campers are taught the fundamentals of serving and receiving, volleying, dinking, positioning, and scoring. TWIN LAKES PARK TENNIS COURT M-F 9am-12pm Ages 7-13 $158/$175 WEEK 4: June 26 - June 30 Soccer Camp Our soccer camps offer beginner to intermediate campers the o pportunity to build a solid soccer foundation. Players are grouped by age and ability to learn appropriate drills, skills, and technique. Emphasis will be on proper warm-ups, footwork drills, agility, passing, defending, shooting, and game strategies. They will learn key lessons like decisionmaking, teamwork, and perseverance. POLO GROUNDS COUNTY PARK - FIELD C M-F 9am-12pm Ages 7-13 $158/$175 Jr Academy Soccer Camp Our Jr. Academy Soccer camp will introduce young children to the fundamentals of soccer. They will learn to kick the ball, stop the ball with their foot, and not use their hands. NAofA coaches will use positive reinforcement as they dribble, pass and shoot, play games, and have fun! This multi-sport camp may include sports like basketball, soccer, and flag football. Other games may include dodgeball, wiffleball, kickball, capture the flag, and ultimate Frisbee. These games teach children sport-specific skills while learning the importance of teamwork, losing and winning with dignity, and communication with friends and peers. ANNA JEAN CUMMINS PARK - FIELD B M-F 9am-12pm Ages 7-13 $158/$175 Jr Academy All Sports Camp This program gives children a fun, active & educational experience tailored to the abilities of their age group. Kids have a blast learning motor skills and coordination while playing games with other children. Our program uses FUN to teach problem solving skills and the beginning fundamentals for sports including throwing, catching, kicking, and running. Games may include wiffleball, soccer, capture the flag, relay & obstacle races, and much more. Featuring structured, simple activities, individual and team-building challenges, and small-sided competitions to develop teamwork and engage young athletes.
