Capitola Mall Walking Join the Mall Walkers for health, fitness, and FUN! Meet friendly and supportive participants while you walk in a safe and protected environment. Walking is a wonderful way to be physically active! It’s easy, and it’s relatively riskfree. Walking is the most popular aerobic activity. We have monthly events and social gatherings at local eateries (lunch is not included). Come join us and be part of the movement. Drop by the entrance to the food court. Location: Capitola Mall M/W/F 9:30am 50 + $12.50 July-Dec Active Adults Fitness at the Park A kinder, gentler aerobic workout appropriate for active adults who would like to include a low-intensity, low-impact workout in their fitness plans. Each class includes anaerobic conditioning and stretching segments. Get ready to stretch, exercise your upper body with resistant bands and lower body exercises to build strength and balance. We will recover with relaxation breathing techniques. *Please consult with your physician before participating in this class. Location: Anna Jean Cummings County Park (meet at the bottom parking lot) Tu (starting 5/2) 9:30am 50 + Free Bridge Club at Capitola Branch Library Join us at the Capitola Branch Library for a Bridge Club session, Mondays from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Everyone is welcomed from beginners to social players. Make new friends and sharpen your mind. If you’re interested in playing Bridge, a table is waiting for you. M 10:30am-12pm Free Exciting Announcement We were chosen for a Tai Chi for Arthritis instructor training grant from the National Recreation and Park Association! The grant will help us provide an evidence-based physical activity program to our adults 50+! Tai Chi – projected to start the last week of April. Please email [email protected] for additional information. High Tea Party Fancy Hats, Pearls and Tea! Join us for afternoon tea to celebrate Mother’s Day. Assorted teas will be brewed, and delicious pastries shall be enjoyed. We will have instrumental music, assorted teas, pastries, danishes, cheese & cracker platters to enjoy. Location: Aptos Village Park F 5/12 3-4:30pm $25 Senior Prom Night Join us for an evening to remember at Senior Prom Night. Enjoy the evening with your friends with music, snacks and drinks. Corsage and boutonnieres will be provided to all guests.
