Hi Watsonville! Rex Watson here. Can you believe we are already a few weeks into summer? And to top it off, we are in my favorite month of the year... July. Do you know why? July is Parks and Recreation Month! Parks and recreation offer countless benefits to our community. They provide a space for outdoor activities and exercise, promote mental well-being, foster social connections, and enhance the quality of life for people of all ages. On page 28, you will find all the FREE fun activities we have planned to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month. Here are some other exciting updates: Ramsay Park Renaissance construction has officially begun! Upon completion, Ramsay Park will be home to our first all-inclusive playground, new soccer fields, a multi-use field, a dog park, picnic areas and a permanent Nature Center. Starting in August, Camp WOW will host monthly Family Events for the whole family to come together and create cherished memories. Save the date for October 12 for the second annual Senior Prom!
