Encouraged to try a variety of drawing implements and painting styles, students are able to choose their favorites in a positive and supportive environment.  Fundamentals of Drawing 11.1060 Learn the secrets of basic geometrical and organic forms, perspective, design composition. Students will be introduced to a variety of drawing techniques and styles. Enjoy using this wonderful and flexible medium to create a unique art work. Painting with Oil and Acrylic 11.1081 This class is not only for the beginner to learn the basics, but also for the more advanced students wanting to improve.  We will talk about painting composition and techniques, which will include: the rule of thirds, contrast, light, color saturation, contrasting colors, and how to choose focal points. Subject matter will include landscape, animals, flowers, and people. Painting with Oil, All Levels 11.1180 Come join us for an exciting class of creative and beautiful oil paintings. You will learn color mixing, color values, composition and different brush strokes.  Each class will include an instructor’s demo; one on one guidance is given for individual instruction.  All levels are welcome.   Painting with One Stroke Workshop 11.1051 This is a One Stroke painting workshop using acrylic paint and a flat brush. You will practice various flowers and leaves while learning to blend, shade, and highlight in one stroke. Painting with Watercolor, All Levels 11.1087 In this class you will learn a variety of watercolor techniques, color mixing, brush strokes, and “wet and dry” method, using many different tools which make an exciting and beautiful watercolor painting. Painting with Watercolor, Beginning 11.1085 This class is designed for the absolute beginner as well as those who have some watercolor experience. You’ll learn about watercolor tools, materials, techniques, color mixing, composition, and lots of other useful tidbits of info. Each class will include an instructional demo, one on one guidance and plenty of time to apply and practice what you’ve learned. Painting with Watercolor, Intermediate and Advanced 11.1088 Enjoy time each week creating something beautiful while improving your skills painting in transparent watercolor. A variety of techniques will be demonstrated in each class, as well as guidelines on color mixing, composition and perspective. Chinese Brush Painting 11.1050 Chinese brush painting with emphasis on individual instruction for all students. A traditional approach to Chinese brush painting using bamboo, flowers, birds, trees and landscapes as some of the subjects.
