Three components of the Puente Program work together to prepare Puente students for transfer: • Counseling • English Instruction • Mentoring The Puente Program makes coursework more lively and relevant for students through readings about the Chicano/ Latino/Latinx experience. Puente students also receive academic, career, and personal counseling and advising and are connected to professional mentors as well as unique opportunities to engage in cultural events as well as explore Bay Area four-year university campuses.
