The Teacher Track Learning Community provides a guided pathway that offers students the opportunity to take ECE/CD classes connected with hands-on work experience at Skyline College’s Child Development Laboratory Center (CDLC) and a one-unit course for guidance and reflection. Students will also be eligible for a small tuition reimbursement upon completion of each semester. The Teacher Track Learning Community offers professional growth opportunities, individualized advising and enrollment support, CA Permit application assistance for Assistant level after completion of the first semester and the Associate Teacher level after completion of the second semester. Students can choose to participate in this Learning Community for one or two semesters and will take a minimum of two foundational ECE courses each semester from ECE. 201, 210, 211, and 212, and all Teacher Track students enroll in ECE 331: Role of the Teacher.
