Holloway Presents History of the South Bay Gary will discuss the entire Santa Clara Valley, from Palo Alto in the north to Gilroy on the south, telling of the derivation of place names, the famous explorers who came here, the early families who settled here, and the evolution of the unique types of agriculture established in the Valley, dictated by the soil and climate. Following his presentation, there will be time for questions and answers on anything of interest in the Valley. Catered food will be served before the presentation. The Foster is a quiet, contemplative space in which to take a breath from regular life and experience beautiful art and inspiring wilderness journeys. The 14,000 square-foot venue opened in 2016 with a mission to share British artist-explorer Tony Foster’s watercolor diaries and inspire reflection, discussion, and education about art, wilderness, and the natural world.
