Acting & Music Camp LGYT CAMPS Los Gatos Youth Theatre - Reprise & Encore Productions “All Shook Up” Los Gatos Youth Theatre is excited to return in-person with its Reprise (ages 9-14) and Encore (ages 14-19) Productions. NEW THIS YEAR! We are committed to having a Reprise Cast and an Encore Cast of our Production this year where each age group will put their own twist on their production! Everyone registered will be cast! Auditions will take place in May. Additional paperwork, including a conflict calendar, will be required from all performers at auditions. These forms will be available at www.lgyt.net in April. Rehearsals will take place 2 to 5 times per week, depending on the role. Weekday rehearsal time range is 5:00pm-9:00pm (younger performers will be released by 8:00pm) and Saturdays from 10:00am-4:00pm. In order for the show to be a success, families must volunteer 20 hours and attend a parent meeting. An additional costume rental fee will be charged. We are anticipating a recorded LIVE performance with viewing dates for our families and community to enjoy the performances of these amazing LGYT Young Artists. Masks will be required, temperatures will be taken at check-in, and sanitizer will be provided. We will do our best to keep siblings in the same cohort to help our families by letting the older sibling be in the younger production with their younger sibling. We will be offering 1/2 day camps in order to accommodate more cohorts of kids and more theater magic! We will be moving through vocals, acting, dancing, and stage crafts, all while learning our very first LGYT summer musical revue featuring songs from your favorite musicals. For our young actors (who may prefer not to sing), you can take center stage as the show’s Narrators and be our guide through this musical journey! THE ART OF ACTING Calling all actors and actresses! Discover your comedic timing or your dramatic flare through movie monologues and scenes from award-winning plays. Learn how to create a character audiences will love (like a hero) or “Boo” (like a villain). SCENIC ARTIST WORKSHOP Are you an artist, love to draw? Paint? Or just want to learn how to invent a set for a show? Then join LGYT’s Tech Director Cayla Ray-Perry and learn what a scenic painter does and how they create our worlds on stage! CHOREOGRAPHY CAMP Learn how to turn your dance ideas into a story told through dance from our amazing and experienced LGYT Choreographers!
