Refund Fee: $10 for classes up to $100, $25 for classes over $100 Transfer Fee: $10 per participant, per program General Information Cancellations: When enrollment is low we reserve the right to cancel a class. You will receive a full refund within 4-6 weeks. Returned Check: A $25 fee will be charged for each returned check. Waiting Lists: Once a class is filled, your name is put on a waiting list. COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO CORONA VIRUS/COVID-19 We continue to adhere to recommended COVID-19 protocols. As we continue to expand our services and at the time of publication. All participants, by signing this release, agree to follow the following directives: 1. Santa Clara County currently requires that masks be worn indoors, regardless of vaccination status. 2. Masks are not mandatory outdoors, though may be worn as tolerated. 3. Participants are encouraged to maintain a minimum 3 feet of distance from others. 4. Stay home if you are sick. If exhibiting symptoms, please refrain from attending programs until symptoms subside, participant is seen by a medical professional, or after receiving negative COVID-19 testing results. • Exceptions may be made for very young children, people for whom face coverings are medically inadvisable, or where communication is affected by or with people who are hearing-impaired. • Programs are responsible for maintaining enrollment and attendance records, and should verify families’ compliance with these restrictions to the extent feasible. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people. Los GatosSaratoga Community Education and Recreation (“LGS Recreation”) has created new protocols and put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however, LGS Recreation cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending any program may increase your child(ren)s risk of contracting COVID-19. LGS Recreation’s programs by nature involve interaction between and among participants and agency staff, as well as potential interaction between and among parents who are dropping off their children and/or observing the program. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to, or infected by COVID-19 by attending, and/or transporting my children to, LGS Recreation programs, activities, or events, and of the named perils listed below. Underwater Egg Hunt ALL AGES LGS Aquatics invites children of all ages to our Underwater Egg Hunt at LGHS Community Aquatics Center There will be open-swim for guests before and after the egg hunt at 2:30pm. Green Bean Kidz 2-8 YRS. A Nature Education and Exploration program for children and their parents or caregivers. We meet weekly in local/Bay Area parks and open spaces to engage with nature in an emerging curriculum, including: circle time, hiking, story time, art and/or early science projects, music and games. With an emphasis on the local flora and fauna, Naturalist and experienced preschool Teacher Ellen teaches many early education concepts through hands on experience in nature. Materials included. Clubhouse before and after school programs are back and better than ever! We understand kids need time to be kids. We offer your child that opportunity in a secure, exciting, safe, explorative and social environment within our programs. Located at all 4 LGUSD elementary schools, Clubhouse is an interest based recreational/ enrichment program that incorporates daily nutritious snacks, cooking, arts & crafts, music, team building activities, sports, quiet study time, special events and more! Hula - Mom/Dad & Me 3-7 YRS. Parents will help teach their child how to dance the HULA and sing a HULA SONG! Children will also learn some Hawaiian culture and language while developing social and motor skills and hand-eye coordination! Hands-on instruction includes infant care, planning age-appropriate activities and how to manage discipline issues. Participants are taught how to prevent and respond to emergencies, with an emphasis on first aid skills, as well as how to recognize child abuse and handle inappropriate adult behavior. This program is designed for mature-minded individuals who are serious about developing his/her childcare skills and abilities.
